Over 20 students have completed their Instrument Rating training with us since we started Multi-IFR training a year ago. Many also did their Multi-Engine Class Ratings at the same time. First attempt pass rate for flight tests is sitting at north of 95%.

A few happy aviators after another couple of busy test days! Congratulations to Shaun Sutcliffe from Melbourne & Dale Thatcher from Adelaide who both passed their Multi-Engine Class Rating + Command Instrument Rating (Multi-Engine) flight tests, and also to FAST Aviation’s own Sarah Biddles who knocked over her Multi-Engine Class Rating!!
Huge congratulations to these two – both start new flying jobs on Monday! After their successful ME-CIR training at FAST Aviation, Tom Rippon is going straight from the Baron to a QantasLink Dash 8, and Kurtis Blaker will be flying a C206 on a station in the NT!! They join a number of other ex-students who are now out there flying professionally, such as Liam Daff at Broken Hill, Jake Al Shammary at Darwin and Adam Capps at Port Macquarie. Great to see!!
We haven’t seen anyone work harder for a Command Instrument Rating than this bloke! Huge congratulations to Suresh Katwal who hails all the way from Nepal – Suresh passed his Multi-Engine Class Rating on Saturday, and his Command Instrument Rating (Multi-Engine) today!! He is heading back to Nepal now to chase flying work in his magnificent country.

It’s that time of the year again for the annual Great Eastern Fly-In in Evans Head. This year the Fast Aviation team will be there with our 172 and Beechcraft Baron offering scenic flights for $60 per person. The Fly-in is a wonderful opportunity to see a fantastic showcase of aviation including warbirds & aerobatic displays. On our scenic flight, you will get see some of the stunning beaches the northern rivers have to offer and experience the thrill of flying into a world war two ear airfield.

Congratulations to Sammy Kooznetzoff from Darwin & Jock Robinson from Coffs – both passed their Command Instrument Rating (Multi-Engine) flight tests over the last couple of days!! Jock also completed his Multi Engine Class Rating on the Baron a couple of weeks ago, and both knocked over PXS endorsements in the P210 while they were here.
Nathan Kelly (left) and Max Eliani (right) both travelled from Sydney to undertake their Command Instrument Rating (Multi-Engine) training with us. They started on 1/10/17, and both passed their flight tests on the first attempt on 30/10/17! Well done guys!!
Congratulations to Kurtis Blaker – Kurtis passed his Multi-Engine Class Rating flight test on 3/10/17, and then passed his Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating flight test on 15/10/17!! Kurtis didn’t let the cloud, rain & wind that accompanies an east coast trough get in the road and in spite of these challenges he passed his CIR(ME) flight test on the first attempt – real world training & testing! Thanks to Kurtis for keeping our 100% first attempt flight test pass rate intact!!
