FAST Aviation’s Chief Pilot, Izaac Flanagan, is a Flight Examiner and we can assist with Instrument Proficiency Checks on our Beechcraft Barons (B55 & B58), sometimes at short notice.

We are often asked if we can do an IPC “cheaply”. Our usual reply is that there is no such thing, but to do an IPC as cost efficiently as possible an applicant would need to present for their IPC with Baron competency and IFR proficiency already at standard. We can provide Baron general competency training, and IPC refresher training on our synthetic trainers and in our aircraft, if required. The standards that must be demonstrated in an IPC are well defined and are non-negotiable.
