New aircraft, faces & training offers!!!

By | News | 3 Comments

Exciting times!!

We have recently purchased and are about to take delivery of our third Baron, B58 VH-PRB! This machine is superbly presented with low airframe hours and modern digital avionics, and will work alongside our other two Barons conducting advanced pilot training including Multi-Engine Class Rating & Multi-Engine Instrument Rating training, as well as air transport operations. Like our other B58 VH-JML, PRB is equipped with a Garmin G500txi glass cockpit, fully-integrated digital engine monitoring, Garmin traffic awareness system and a Garmin GFC600 digital autopilot. It is also equipped with Garmin GTN750 & GTN650 GNSS units (JML has dual G430Ws) and a Garmin digital weather radar, and we are looking forward to being able to provide our students with exposure to these systems during their training. PRB will also allow us to conduct and provide training in RNP LNAV/VNAV approach procedures on an industry-relevant airframe!

We’ve also got some other exciting developments in the pipeline for 2023 – our students can expect to see some new (and familiar if you have been around the industry long enough!) faces around the hangar and with them in the aircraft. With these highly-experienced, industry-respected faces joining me at the top of the business we will be expanding our advanced pilot training offers into other select areas such as Instructor Rating upgrades, Multi-Engine Instructor and Instrument Rating Instructor training and testing, as well as non-integrated CPL completion training and testing. With current and extensive industry connections and broad experience bases, I am confident that these faces will provide enormous value to our advanced training offers. We all share a common passion for providing no non-sense, personalised, quality, industry-relevant training that is cost-efficient and time-efficient, while at the same time providing students with the experience, skills and connections that maximise their chances of getting the job they want…………………more details coming very soon!!!!

Introducing Anthony Lee!

By | News | No Comments

Checked to line! Introducing Anthony Lee…….Anthony has joined us as an instructor and charter pilot! Anthony has flown an incredible array of multi-engine aircraft on IFR charter, RPT and training operations, from the De Havilland Dove & Shrike through to Dash 8, B737, B747 & B777! Most recently he worked as a B777 Type Rating Instructor and Check & Training Captain at Virgin. Their loss is our gain!! There are certainly some impressive resumes getting around in GA at the moment – Anthony’s got my attention as he had extensive GA experience prior to moving to the airlines, both in training and charter operations. Extensive GA experience outside of the flying school environment is a must for us. At interview, he impressed me with his humble down to earth personality (we don’t have room for big egos or flashy personalities) and his calm friendly demeanour. He also flies a Baron very well! I feel very fortunate to have snagged the two instructors I now have on staff. Anthony will be able to provide our multi-engine IFR students with insights and perspectives that I can only dream about – not many people get the opportunity to command a twin engine jet across the Pacific Ocean! Welcome Anthony!!
